Privacy Policy

When you create a runner account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password. When you complete your runner profile, we also collect your date of birth, blood group, T-shirt size, and emergency contact details. This information is used to process event registrations and prefill forms for future races.

Payment information is processed entirely by Razorpay. BibEvents does not store card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details. Please refer to Razorpay's Privacy Policy for details on how payment data is handled.

When you register for an event, we record your event selection, category, order status, and BIB number. We also collect page view counts to help organizers understand event reach.

We use your information to:

- Process your event registration and payment

- Send order confirmations and race-day information by email

- Allow event organizers to manage their participants list and BIB assignments

- Improve the platform based on usage patterns

- Respond to support queries you send us

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Your registration details — including your name, email, phone number, BIB number, and category — are shared with the event organizer for events you register in. Organizers are permitted to use this data only for race operations related to their event.

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties except as required by law or to process your payment (Razorpay).

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to runner data within our internal systems is restricted to authorised BibEvents personnel and the assigned organizer for your registered event.

We retain your account and registration data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes (e.g., payment records).

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at support@bibevents.com with your registered email address. We will respond within 10 business days.

BibEvents uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you sign out or close your browser.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India.
